I teach yoga to help you connect with your body, not to force it into a shape. My classes focus on breath-led movement and precise, hands-on adjustments to ensure you build strength and alignment safely.

A hands-on adjustment during a deep backbend, helping the student find space and support in Urdhva Dhanurasana. My focus is always on using strength and breath, not just flexibility, to achieve depth safely.

Guiding a student through the intricacies of Vatayanasana (Horse Pose). This posture requires a delicate balance of hip opening and stability, and a gentle adjustment can make all the difference in finding the correct alignment.

A closer look at the hand and arm alignment in Vatayanasana. These small, precise adjustments help protect the joints and deepen the student's understanding of the posture's mechanics.

Assisting a student in a deep hip-opening posture. This kind of support is not about forcing the body, but about creating a safe space for emotional and physical release.

Working closely with a student in a challenging arm balance. My hands-on guidance provides the stability and confidence needed to explore difficult postures with discipline and focus.

Here, I am helping a student with the mechanics of a leg-behind-the-head pose. The focus is on the process and the breath, not just the final shape, ensuring the practice remains an internal journey.

Building confidence in Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Balance). A steady hand and clear instruction help the student find their balance and inner strength.

From preparation to full expression, I guide students through every step of an inversion. This support helps build the necessary strength in the shoulders and core for a stable headstand.

Assisting with a deep hip opener and spinal twist. My role is to ensure the student is breathing well and gaining energy, rather than rushing to achieve the bind.

Teaching the foundational steps of Sirsasana (Headstand). Correct placement of the head and engagement of the shoulders are crucial for a safe and beneficial inversion practice.

About The Art of Adjustment: A Hands-On Approach

In my sessions, I use hands-on adjustments not to force you deeper into a pose, but to help your nervous system understand the alignment. When I place a hand on your spine or guide your hip, it is to help you feel where to engage your bandhas and how to lengthen your exhalation. This tactile guidance creates a bridge between your physical effort and your internal state, ensuring you are building strength safely rather than just stretching for a shape.

Beyond the Pose: Why Adjustment Matters

Many of us come to yoga thinking it is about flexibility. We try to force our bodies into shapes we see on social media, often ignoring the very tightness we are trying to resolve. My approach to the art of adjustment is different. It is about communication. Through physical guidance, I help you locate your center, find length in the spine, and understand the mechanics of an asana so you can practice independently and without pain.

The Philosophy of Sthiram Sukham

Yoga should be Sthiram Sukham—steady and comfortable. When a pose feels painful, it is usually because the body is resisting. I use hands-on cues to help you soften that resistance. Whether we are working on a deep backbend or a complex inversion like Sirsasana, my adjustments focus on active engagement of the muscles—your core, your shoulders, your bandhas—so you are not dumping weight into your joints.

Practical Details

  • Safe Progression: I provide regression options for every advanced pose. If you are not ready for a full bind, we work on the foundations that will eventually get you there.
  • Anatomy-First Approach: We prioritize joint health. We don't stretch until it hurts; we align until we feel stable.
  • Intention: Every adjustment is an invitation to breathe. If you stop breathing, you have stopped doing yoga, no matter how 'perfect' the pose looks.

Most workshops and classes are held at my home shala in Panchsheel Park, Delhi, or at The Quorum in Gurgaon. I keep groups small—capped at 10 to 12 students—because that is the only way I can offer you the personal attention needed to refine your practice safely. You do not need to be advanced to join; you just need to be curious.

I didn’t set out to teach, but yoga became my way to cope and harmonize after years in the corporate grind. Now, I share my Sādhanā in my home shala, focusing on breath and alignment so you can move with intention, not just performance.
