On stage with my brothers, violinist Yadnesh Raikar and mridangam player Rohit Prasad, for a 'Dhwani' pro show. This was a jugalbandi of melody and rhythm.

About Jugalbandi: Rhythmic Dialogues

When I perform a jugalbandi, I do not just follow a set score. I listen for the tehai or the melodic cue from the other artist, whether they are playing Pakhawaj, Mridangam, or violin, and respond in real-time. This dialogue requires deep focus and trust, so I always make sure to have at least one rehearsal before we step on stage to align our rhythms properly.
