No-Nonsense Isha Hatha Yoga Classes in Bengaluru
I didn't start yoga to change careers. I was in IT, just looking for balance. Here is my approach to teaching: real, practical, and grounded in the classical Isha Hatha Yoga system.
This picture was taken near the Velliangiri mountains. It reminds me of my own journey. I didn't get into yoga out of passion; I was in IT and just tried it. I know nothing of how it works, but I know it works. My goal isn't to be a perfect yogi, but to keep up the practice and help others do the same. It's less about a career change and more about turning inward.
A question I get all the time is, "Do I need to be flexible to start yoga?". The simple answer is no. Flexibility is a result of the practice, not a requirement to begin. I started out stiff and awkward too. With consistent practice of these classical Hatha Yoga postures, you will naturally build both strength and flexibility over time.
This is what my practice looks like most days. No fancy studio, no perfect lighting, just finding a space and sitting. Sometimes the only thing you can manage is to simply sit, and that is enough. I know I can't always work with my mind, but I can work with my body. This is the foundation of Hatha Yoga.
I am very excited to announce a full month yoga program designed specifically for women, many of whom have never been introduced to Isha Yoga before. Creating a supportive space for women to begin their journey is important to me. I am looking forward to seeing how these classical practices unfold for them.
A quick message to thank everyone who made the last year of teaching at my new studio on Kanakapura Road so beautiful. It was a year full of Hatha Yoga classes, and I'm grateful for everyone who joined. After a busy month of Angamardana and Surya Kriya sessions, it feels amazing to get back to my own morning practice. Looking forward to more sadhana sessions this year.
About My Approach: No-Nonsense Yoga for Real Life
I don’t teach yoga as a fitness trend or a quick fix for health. Whether it’s Suryakriya or Angamardana, we focus on classical mechanics. If you’re stiff, that’s exactly where we start. Flexibility isn't a requirement to begin—it is a side effect of showing up and doing the practice consistently. We work on building your strength from where you are today, not where you think you should be.
My Approach: Inner Tech, Not Just Yoga
For years, I sat in cubicles and dealt with the same deadlines as you. I didn't come to this looking for a spiritual escape; I came looking for something that worked amidst the noise. That is the philosophy I bring to Tattva Hatha Yoga. This is not about fancy poses or looking good in athletic wear. It is about 'Inner Technology'—ancient, powerful methods designed by Sadhguru to help you manage your energy, your body, and your focus.
What We Do
Whether you are joining me at my Kanakapura Road studio or online, the training is deliberate and slow. We break down complex processes like Angamardana or the 21-step Suryakriya sequence into bite-sized, learnable chunks.
- For the Complete Beginner: If you think you aren't 'flexible enough,' you are in the right place. We start with the basics of how to breathe and how to sit, slowly building the foundation so you don't burn out or quit after a week.
- For the Committed Practitioner: We offer guided Sadhana sessions for those who have already completed the programs, providing that essential group energy to help break inertia on the days you don't feel like practicing.
Why No-Nonsense?
Yoga is a personal process. It does not come by blood, and it does not work by magic—it works by doing. My job is to give you the tools, correct your posture, and keep you accountable. We don't use mirrors, and we don't focus on aesthetics. We focus on the mechanic of the human system. If you are ready to stop looking for quick tips and start building a real, sustainable practice, I am here to help you get started.
