Used by pahalwans for centuries, the Mudgar is the ultimate tool for shoulder mobility, grip strength, and functional rotational power. Start your flow with the tribe.

Double Mudgar drills are tough but incredibly rewarding. They demand a huge amount of strength from your stabilizing muscles. Start with a light pair, around 2 to 4 kgs, and focus on controlling the movement.

Ever wondered what a pair of 2kg clubs can do? This movement, the slinger extension, will get your heart racing and build serious rotational strength. It's a great cross body drill for athletes in any sport.

Abhyaas. Practice. The simple, clean movement of swinging two Mudgars. This is the foundation of the OG Indian Workout.

This is a story of lineage. A member of our tribe found his great grandfather's Mudgar, a man known as "Dummajja" for his strength. This is the heritage we are keeping alive.

Ancient tools, modern application. Holding the Mudgar, you feel a connection to a thousand years of strength training. It provides a controlled instability that builds balance and body awareness.

Here are three movements to add to your workout. The kneeling Mudgar twists are shown here, a fantastic exercise for building a strong, functional core.

Heavy club swings just hit different. Here I am working with a heavier Mudgar, which requires full body engagement to control the swing and momentum.

About The Mudgar (Indian Clubs): Master Upper Body & Grip

Stop chasing heavy numbers and start focusing on the movement flow. A pair of 2kg or 4kg Mudgars is all you need to start. These clubs engage stabilizing muscles that standard dumbbells simply cannot reach, building a kind of functional strength that stays with you long after the workout is done.

Why the Mudgar (Indian Clubs) Work

If you analyse the function of an object, its form becomes obvious. The Mudgar is not a weight to be lifted; it is a tool to be swung. This simple, bottle-shaped design creates a unique rotational torque that builds a crushing grip and bulletproof shoulders. Unlike gym machines that isolate muscles, Mudgar training forces your entire body to communicate—your core, shoulders, and grip must work in sync to control the momentum.

For the Modern Athlete

Whether you are a golfer looking for more distance, a cricketer working on shoulder health, or an office-goer dealing with posture issues, this is for you. We see everyone from elite Special Forces to desk warriors using these in our dugouts in Bengaluru and Pune. The instability of the club swing forces your body to develop awareness and balance, which is the missing link in most modern fitness routines.

How to Start

Don't let the ego take over. If you are new, start with our beginner series—2kg or 3kg pairs of Sheesham wood clubs.

  1. Focus on the Grip: The tapered handle is designed for control.
  2. Master the Path: It is about the trajectory of the swing, not just moving the weight.
  3. Consistency: 15 minutes of daily flow does more for your mobility than a heavy session once a week.

We handcraft these from seasoned Sheesham, balanced for that perfect swing. Whether you are ordering for your home gym or joining us for a workshop, you are carrying forward a piece of Indian physical culture that refuses to fade away. Tagda Raho.

We are not just selling gear; we are bringing back a forgotten physical culture. Rishabh started this after a personal journey of recovering from 70% arm paralysis. Every Mudgar we handcraft carries that same spirit of movement and healing.
