Bringing Ideas to Life: Our Design Process

Architecture is a conversation between the land and the structure. This is how we translate your initial thoughts into a home that feels like it has always belonged to its site.

An early study model for Ridge House, a home set between two hills in the Konkan region. We use physical models to understand the topography and explore how the architecture can best respond to the site and capture panoramic views.

A video showing the study model for our 'Organic Square' project. This model helped us and the client visualize the concept of deconstructed living, where the home is broken into smaller parts to engage with the surrounding farm.

The architectural floor plan for Pavilion House. This drawing illustrates the clear division between the public living wing and the private bedroom wing, and how each space connects to the outdoor decks and pool.

A sectional perspective drawing of Ranch House, a weekend cabin in Nashik. Architectural drawings like this are crucial for communicating the design intent, showing the relationship between different levels and the flow of space.

A detailed architectural section of Maison Rouge. This drawing reveals the home's unique massing, which combines a modern, double-height living space with more traditional, intimate rooms, all connected by open verandas.

The master plan for Phase 1 of Organic Square. This drawing shows how the individual buildings are sited within the tropical landscape, creating a unique habitat focused on conscious, farm-to-table living.

About this collection

We prioritize site-specific study models over generic 3D renders. Whether it is Ridge House in the Konkan or a villa in Nashik, we create physical massing models to test how the structure interacts with local wind patterns, sun paths, and topography. This step allows us to refine the layout before we draft a single construction drawing, ensuring the final home is both functional and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Our Methodology

We begin by understanding the narrative of your land. Is it a plantation in Alibaug? A rocky terrain in Nashik? Our concept phase involves site analysis—studying topography, climate, and local material availability. We create massing models to see how the house sits on the landscape, focusing on indoor-outdoor connections like courtyards, verandas, and decks that let the home breathe.

Technical Precision

Once the concept is locked, we move to rigorous technical documentation. This includes structural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination, ensuring steel structures, electrical conduits, and water systems are seamlessly integrated. We produce GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, which provide your contractors with exact specifications for masonry, flooring, and joinery, leaving little room for misinterpretation.

On-site Fidelity

Design is only half the battle; execution is where the soul of the project is preserved. We provide periodic supervision throughout the construction—visiting the site at foundation, plinth, and roof-level milestones. This ensures that what we imagined together is exactly what you get, whether it is the specific finish of laterite stone walls, the texture of exposed basalt, or the integration of large-format aluminium fenestration. We bridge the gap between architectural intent and built reality.
