Advanced Swimming Technique Coaching
Precision matters. We focus on the biomechanics and fine details—flip turns, starts, and efficient stroke mechanics—that turn good swimmers into podium contenders.
We train our swimmers to master all four competitive strokes. This video shows our athletes perfecting the power of butterfly, the glide of freestyle, the pull of backstroke, and the timing of breaststroke.
Mastering the flip turn is essential for competitive swimming. Our stroke batch kids are learning to execute this skill seamlessly to shave valuable seconds off their race times.
Here, our coaches are providing expert freestyle stroke correction. We focus on details like breathing rhythm, body alignment, and efficient arm recovery to help our swimmers move faster through the water.
The butterfly stroke requires both power and grace. Our coaches provide expert feedback and correction to help swimmers refine their technique for a more efficient and powerful swim.
Our coaches are dedicated to helping swimmers perfect their breaststroke. We provide personalized tips on timing and technique to make the stroke more efficient and powerful.
Learning to dive is a critical step for any competitive swimmer. Our coach provides hands-on assistance to ensure a safe and powerful entry into the water, building confidence with every jump.
Short sprints are crucial for building speed and endurance. Our Stroke School students push their limits in high-intensity bursts to refine their technique and improve overall race performance.
About this collection
The biggest difference between a recreational swimmer and a competitor is the micro-adjustments in their form. You might be swimming laps daily, but if your elbow entry in freestyle is dropping or your dolphin kick is shallow, you are fighting drag instead of gliding. Our sessions identify exactly where you are losing energy and fix those specific inefficiencies through repetitive, targeted drills.
At Swimsquare, advanced technique is not just about moving fast; it is about swimming smart. Whether you are aiming for state-level competitions or simply want to improve your endurance in the water, the process starts with mastering the four competitive strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly.
The Anatomy of a Stroke
We break every stroke down to its component parts.
- Freestyle: We analyze your breathing rhythm, body rotation, and hand entry to ensure every pull is propulsive.
- Backstroke: Focus is on shoulder engagement and maintaining a flat, buoyant body position to reduce drag.
- Breaststroke: We prioritize timing and the whip kick, which are often the most misunderstood elements for intermediate swimmers.
- Butterfly: This requires the most power, so we teach the wave-like body motion that connects the kick to the arm recovery.
More Than Just Water Training
Technique isn't built solely in the pool. We integrate dry-land conditioning using battle ropes, stability balls, and partner stretching to improve flexibility and core engagement. If your hips are tight or your core lacks stability, your stroke will inevitably collapse under fatigue. Our Swim Gym sessions ensure your body is conditioned to hold technical form for longer.
Why Practice With Us
Our facility in Anjanapura features an Olympic-standard 50m pool and a 25m indoor pool, giving you the space to train without crowds. Head Coach Bhushan Kumar and our coaching team use video analysis to show you exactly what your stroke looks like versus what it feels like. By tracking progress through monthly time trials, you get objective data on your speed and efficiency. We are here to help you turn effort into measurable results.
