Preparing for pregnancy is about more than just taking vitamins. It is about creating space in your body, improving blood flow to your reproductive organs, and keeping your mind steady. These practices are designed to help you nurture your physical well-being as you start this journey.

Before you prepare for a baby, you must prepare your body. This video shows key asanas like Chakki Chalanasana and Malasana that I teach to strengthen your pelvic region, improve circulation to the uterus, and balance hormones naturally for conception.

About Preparing for Conception

When you are trying to conceive, you do not need aggressive workouts that spike your cortisol. You need poses like Malasana and Titaliasana that actively improve circulation to your pelvic floor. I teach these specific movements because they help release tension in the hips and lower back, making your body a physically welcoming space.

Trying to conceive can feel like a heavy waiting game. Many women I work with come to me stressed and physically tight, holding all that tension in their hips and lower back. Yoga for conception is not about getting flexible, it is about creating structural space and physiological ease.

My approach focuses on three pillars:

  1. Pelvic Health: Asanas like Chakki Chalanasana are effective for increasing blood flow to the pelvic region and uterus. This is not just a stretch; it is about bringing fresh circulation to areas that often stagnate from sitting at desks all day.

  2. Hormonal Balance: We avoid high-intensity, heat-generating practices. Instead, we use gentle flow sequences that keep cortisol levels low and encourage the body to shift into a parasympathetic state, which is vital for reproductive health.

  3. Emotional Grounding: You are likely dealing with anxiety or frustration. We integrate simple breathwork to help you manage the emotional highs and lows. This helps you reconnect with your body instead of just viewing it as a project that needs fixing.

Whether you are just starting or have been at this for a while, remember that your body knows what to do. You just need to give it the right environment. We keep sessions simple, honest, and focused on your physical readiness.

I am Swati. I learned the hard way that you cannot force your body into readiness—you have to nurture it. My journey with Garbhsanskar in Rishikesh taught me that preparation starts with healing your own relationship with your body, not just ticking boxes off a to-do list.
