About Devotion to Mahadev: Shiv Bhajans
When I perform for a Shiv Sandhya or Mahashivratri gathering, I focus on the transition, moving from meditative chants like 'Shiv Kailashon Ke Vasi' to high-energy tracks that get the whole family involved. My acoustic and percussion setup is designed to fill your space with a balance of spiritual depth and infectious rhythm, ensuring the music feels like a genuine offering to Bholenath rather than just a stage show.
My journey with Shiv music started as a personal path of faith, and now I bring that same devotion to events across India. I believe music is a form of yoga, and my performances are designed to unite body, mind, and soul in prayer. Whether you are hosting a serene Bhajan Sandhya or a grand devotional concert, I tailor the setlist to the mood of your gathering.
For intimate events of up to 100 guests, I perform with a 3-piece acoustic band, myself on vocals and guitar, accompanied by a percussionist and a keyboardist or harmonium player. We keep the setup compact but effective, perfect for living rooms or small halls. For larger celebrations of 150 to 300 guests, such as weddings or major Mahashivratri events, I bring a full 5-piece ensemble. This includes a dedicated sound engineer to manage the audio, plus additional instruments like dholak, tabla, octapad, and melodic support from a flute or violin.
The repertoire is extensive, ranging from soft, meditative bhajans like 'Shiv Kailashon Ke Vasi' to powerful, high-tempo Shiv Tandavs. I make sure to include popular chants that guests can sing along with, like 'Har Har Bhole Namah Shivay'. Because I know how important these moments are for a family, I also emphasize engagement. I speak in Hindi and English to connect with all generations, from elders who enjoy the traditional depth to younger guests who appreciate the rhythm. If you have specific rituals or aarti timings to follow, I coordinate directly with your event team to ensure the music flows seamlessly with the schedule.
