This is the heart of our philosophy: Curiosity over Judgement. We encourage everyone to get messy, ask questions, and enjoy the process of making without the pressure of getting it 'right'.

There is something deeply therapeutic about working with clay. Our pottery sessions are for everyone, offering a chance to center yourself, connect with the material, and create with your hands.
I started Svadhyaya because I saw a need for a space where adults and children could learn together. This video shares a bit about my journey and the simple question from my daughter that sparked it all.

About Featured
Our space is built on the premise that learning is a messy, joyful journey best shared. Whether you are climbing our bouldering wall, working on the pottery wheel, or practicing Kalaripayattu, we focus on the process of discovery rather than the perfection of the final product.
We started Svadhyaya because we saw a need for a place where age is not a barrier to growth. We are a collective of pathfinders who believe that dialogue, questions, and even mistakes are part of the curriculum.
Located on a sunlit, leafy rooftop in Jayanagar, our studio is intentionally open-air to keep us connected to the elements. We run small cohorts, typically four to eight students, ensuring that you receive personal guidance regardless of the skill you choose to pursue.
How We Operate
- Small Batches: We keep class sizes low to prioritize your learning experience over mass production. This applies to everything from our music and dance classes to our martial arts training.
- Process-First: You will not find exam pressures or strict syllabi here. In our pottery and arts sessions, we provide the tools and the clay, and we encourage you to follow your own curiosity.
- Diverse Disciplines: From Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam to natural dyeing and functional strength training, our offerings are designed to help you reconnect with your creative and physical self.
Whether you are a local resident looking to join a regular batch or a family seeking an alternative educational space, we invite you to join our community. We are not just an institute; we are a space for conversation, agreement, and occasionally, productive disagreement.
