This is how I add frosting to my layered Frozen Yogurt soaps. It's a back-breaking task to do so many at once, but the final result of these colorful bars is always worth it.

Flowers are my favorite soap designs. This video showcases some of my floral-themed cold process soaps, from embedded daisies to intricate piped flowers.
How perfect are these little daisies in my new Aloe Vera soap? The flowers are made from soap dough, so they run all the way through the bar until the very last sliver.

About The Art of the Swirl: Cold Process Bars
The complexity of these designs goes beyond aesthetics. For the Ghost Swirl patterns, I don't just pour color; I precisely adjust the lye-water concentration for each layer. This chemical precision ensures the swirls remain distinct throughout the curing process, giving you a bar that looks and feels consistent from the first wash to the last sliver.
When you buy mass-produced soap, you are often buying detergent bars stripped of natural glycerin. My cold process method is the opposite. I mix plant-based oils and butters like shea, cocoa, and mango, letting them saponify naturally. This creates a bar rich in glycerin, which draws moisture to your skin rather than stripping it away.
The Science of the Swirl
Every design you see here, from the kaleidoscope turmeric bars to the Ghost Swirl silhouettes, is achieved through temperature control and precise timing. The 'Ghost Swirl' technique, in particular, is a favorite of mine. It relies on the subtle interaction between different lye concentrations and water content, allowing me to create depth and texture without needing excessive pigments.
Why Curing Matters
Each bar you hold has been aged in my Shanti Nagar studio for 4 to 6 weeks. This curing phase is non-negotiable. It evaporates excess water, resulting in a harder, longer-lasting bar that doesn't melt away in your soap dish. It is a slow, old-school process, but it is the only way to ensure the mild, creamy lather I want you to experience.
Ingredients You Can Trust
I am transparent about what goes into these soaps. You will find edible-grade oils, French clays, activated charcoal, and micas that are safe for your skin. Whether it is a batch of my floral-themed soaps or a rustic, earthy charcoal bar, my goal is the same: to create a functional piece of art that you will actually finish using. If you have questions about specific oils or want to know which bar fits your skin type, I am always happy to discuss the formulation.
