My Soap Story
I started in my kitchen, just out of curiosity, and now I'm obsessed with making soaps that you’ll actually finish and want more of. What drives me is the feeling of a cold process soap on my skin - the difference is real, and that’s what I want you to feel too.
Handmade, Slow & Real
- I use the old-school cold process, making every bar from scratch in Bangalore. No shortcuts, no pre-made bases.
- Curing takes weeks, but that’s what gives you a solid, gentle bar.
- You’ll find only plant-based, edible-grade ingredients inside: coconut, olive, castor oils, and butters like shea, cocoa, mango.
- I play with fun extras like aloe vera from my garden, fruit purees, goat’s milk, and even things like elaneer (tender coconut water) and ghee in my Panchamrut soap.
Variety & Fun
- Scents come from essential oils and safe fragrance oils. Colors are from ethical micas and natural stuff.
- There’s always something new: minimalist bars, soaps shaped like cupcakes, Ubtan for a desi vibe, or charcoal clay bars for a deep clean.
- Every piece is unique – sometimes a little dented or odd-shaped, which I offer at a lower price as part of my Imperfect Sales.
Beyond Soap
- I also make fast-absorbing creams, body butters, solid shampoo bars, whipped soaps, scrubs, and bath soaks – all in micro-batches.
- For fellow makers, I supply skin-safe colorants, French clays, and tools that I trust.

My Story
Hey, Aruna here from Suffuse Soaps. Nine years back, I was standing in my kitchen with a steel bowl and a wild idea. My first soap? Had to scoop it out with a spoon, but wow, my skin loved it. I bounced around home for years, chasing sunlight, till I finally set up my studio in Shanti Nagar. This isn’t just a business—it feeds my family, my rescue cats, and my soul. Teaching folks, from kids to cancer survivors, is the best part. That’s why I do what I do.
