The Science Behind the Suds
I started Suffuse Soaps nine years ago with a steel bowl in my kitchen, and while the studio in Shanti Nagar has replaced the kitchen, the 'alchemy' remains the same. I rely strictly on the cold process method. This means no pre-made bases and no shortcuts. Every bar cures for four to six weeks, a patience-testing wait that ensures a hard, long-lasting bar with a rich, dense lather that doesn't melt away in the shower after two uses.

While my vibrant, swirled artisan bars get the most attention, I pour the same technical rigor into my functional skincare. Take my deodorant cream, for example. I formulated it for the hectic, active lifestyle—people like me who are running between workshops and markets and need 12-hour freshness without blocking sweat glands. It uses a base of mineral clays and baking soda, blended with shea and kokum butter so it absorbs instantly without that greasy, sticky after-feel.
