Styling for the screen is about building a visual narrative. From vibrant music videos to cinematic film shoots, I curate wardrobes that look authentic on camera and hold up under the pressure of a 12-hour set.

This is the full music video for Moti Soap's Diwali anthem, where I was responsible for the costume styling. The project involved creating distinct, colorful, and contemporary looks for a large cast.

Behind the scenes from a film shoot in Kashmir with actress Manjari Fadnis. My role involved styling practical yet cinematic winter wear, like this vibrant green puffer jacket, that stands out against the snowy landscape.

More fun moments from the Kashmir film set. The styling needed to be authentic for the location while also fitting the character's journey in the story.

A still from the film shoot in Kashmir. The colorful, hand-knitted scarf adds a touch of warmth and personality to the winter styling for the actress.

This is a behind-the-scenes look at a Navratri photoshoot I styled for Zee Marathi. The video shows the transformation, from makeup and hair to the final traditional white and pink saree look.

About Ad Film & Music Video Wardrobe

On-set work is all about continuity. I spend the shoot day checking camera monitors to ensure a garment holds its shape during movement and that mic packs are hidden without creating bulk. Whether it is a long shift for a music video or a high-pressure ad shoot, I handle the wardrobe details so you and your team can focus entirely on the performance.

The On-Set Reality

When you are filming a music video or a commercial, the wardrobe needs to handle more than just looking good. It needs to survive twelve hours of continuous shooting. My role involves managing the entire costume lifecycle on set. This includes steaming garments, pinning fabrics for the perfect silhouette, and using fashion tape or clamps to ensure everything stays in place during action scenes.

Character and Continuity

For films and music videos, the wardrobe is a character. I work with the script to design looks that align with the narrative. If a scene requires movement, I test the costume for comfort and camera compatibility. On-set, I track wardrobe continuity across takes to ensure consistency for the editors. This might mean keeping a scarf draped in a specific way against the wind or ensuring a jacket zipper is at the exact same level in every shot.

My Approach to Production

My workflow is built on teamwork. I coordinate closely with directors, photographers, and production houses to ensure my vision aligns with the project's mood.

  • Pre-Production: I start with script breakdowns and costume trials to check for movement and comfort.
  • Kit Management: I carry a full standby kit, including instant stain removers and portable steaming stations, to handle any on-set emergency.
  • Logistics: I manage all pickups and returns, ensuring rented garments are returned in perfect condition to avoid any late fees or damage charges.
