About Film & Music Video Wardrobe
When I design for film, it is not just about what looks good—it is about character arcs. For projects like Nocturnal Burger, I worked closely with the director to ensure the costumes felt lived-in and authentic to the gritty narrative. If you are planning a shoot, we start with a script breakdown to define your character’s visual identity before sourcing a single piece.
From Script to Screen
My approach to film and music video styling is rooted in storytelling. I do not just dress actors; I build visual worlds that support the narrative. Every project begins with a deep dive into the script or lyrics, where I analyze the character’s background, emotional state, and the director's vision.
My Production Process
- Research & Moodboarding: We define a color palette and style arc that mirrors the story's progression.
- Custom Fabrication: For period pieces or specific character requirements, I collaborate with tailors to build custom costumes from scratch.
- On-Set Continuity: A film set is dynamic. I manage wardrobe continuity across multiple shoot days, ensuring that a shirt tucked in on Monday stays tucked in on Wednesday, even if we are shooting out of sequence.
- Team Coordination: Whether it is a solo artist in a music video or a cast of background actors, I manage the logistical flow of garments, steaming, and quick changes so the production schedule stays on track.
Let's Collaborate
Film styling is a marathon, not a sprint. I work best when I am brought into the conversation early during the pre-production phase. If you have a project in development—whether it is a high-energy music video or a character-heavy short film—let us chat about your visual direction.
