This was a dream come true. Styling Anushka Sen for her Cannes Film Festival debut was a moment I’ll never forget. We chose this magnificent purple gown with intricate gold embroidery and a dramatic train to make a statement on the iconic red carpet.
Working with a legend is always an honor. Here is the iconic Zeenat Aman, styled for a Netflix project in a regal, layered look featuring an exquisite printed jacket by Anita Dongre and a stunning collection of heritage jewelry.
Power dressing at its finest. I styled the incredible Sushmita Sen in this sharp, powder blue pantsuit with a matching choker detail. This look is all about clean lines, modern elegance, and commanding presence.
Taking Indian textiles to the global stage. This is one of my proudest creations: a custom corset dress made from upcycled Banarasi sarees for Anushka Sen, right in the heart of Times Square, New York.
The joy of styling for major brand campaigns. This is a vibrant look for Ahsaas Channa for a Myntra shoot, featuring a modern ethnic sharara set with beautiful red floral embroidery and statement chandbali earrings.
Sometimes the magic is in making the impossible happen. This is a behind the scenes moment of me styling Zeenat Aman in a custom red sequined disco dress that we created from scratch in just 36 hours for a campaign.
Styling for music videos is about creating a fantasy. For Anushka Sen's video, we designed this ethereal, customized sequined dress with a flowing tulle skirt, perfect for a dreamy sunset shoot on the beach.
About this collection
When I work on a project, it is rarely just about picking an outfit. It is about understanding the story behind the shoot or the event and building a look that feels authentic to you. I often start from scratch, as I did for the red sequined dress for Zeenat Aman, because sometimes the perfect piece simply does not exist yet. My focus is on making sure the look is not just camera-ready, but feels right the moment you put it on.
My Approach
I believe in a 'tedha' (unconventional) process. Whether it is a high-profile red carpet appearance or a personal birthday shoot, I do not believe in cookie-cutter styling. I work closely with you to understand your comfort, your vibe, and the message you want to convey. If we need to source from international labels, I handle the logistics. If we need to create something entirely new, I bring in my team and we build it from the ground up.
The Real Work
People often see the glam, but my workdays are usually about coffee, mood boards, and navigating tight timelines. My studio in Santacruz West is my base, but I am often on-site across Mumbai to make sure the drapes are secure, the accessories are perfect, and the continuity is maintained during the shoot.
