About Commercial Styling
I’m Kayal, and for me, commercial styling is a mix of chaos, creativity, and a lot of heart. My days swing between high-energy shoots and quiet planning sessions, but the real thrill is when everything just clicks and the brand’s story comes alive.
What I Actually Do
- I style for ad campaigns, both TV and digital, handling everything from the main celeb to the background cast. Whether it’s Gen-Z brand styling or something more classic, I make sure the vibe fits the brief.
- Celebrity endorsement styling is where I get to flex my creative muscles. Sometimes it’s about finding that one perfect piece, sometimes it’s building a whole look from scratch.
- I also help brands with fashion lookbook creative direction, making sure the visuals tell a story and the collection stands out.
How It Goes Down
- Honestly, it’s not all glam. There’s a lot of running around, last-minute changes, and sometimes things get thoda tedha (a little messy), but that’s where the best ideas come from.
- I’ve pulled off wild deadlines, like making a custom disco gown for Zeenat Aman in 36 hours. Not easy, but totally worth it.
- It’s never just me - my pura team (whole team) and a solid network of photographers, MUAs, and crew make the magic happen.

My Story
Sometimes I still can’t believe it, yaar. Was just a girl talking to the stars, now my work’s on the Cannes red carpet. Watching Anushka Sen shine there? Pure magic. This year, I finally opened my studio, Style by Kayal - A-505, right here in Mumbai. My heart’s in this studio, between crazy deadlines and silly mirror selfies. Whether I’m styling legends or just myself, it’s about that ‘just right’ feeling.
