Celebrity Styling & Red Carpet Looks
A glimpse into my favourite styling projects, from global stage performances to high-fashion magazine covers and film promotions.
For Nora Fatehi's performance at the FIFA World Cup 2022, we created a truly global statement. This custom Falguni Shane Peacock India catsuit, paired with a dramatic feathered cape, was designed to command the stage and capture the energy of the event.
This look for Nora Fatehi at the IIFA ROCKS 2023 awards was all about high-voltage glamour. We chose a striking red latex gown by Nicolas Jebran that was bold, form-fitting, and perfect for making a memorable red carpet entrance.
I had the pleasure of styling Farhan and Shibani Akhtar for their cover story in Travel + Leisure's Luxury Issue. We curated a series of sophisticated and complementary looks that reflected their personal style against the beautiful backdrop of Raffles Udaipur.
For the promotions of the film 'Yaariyan 2', I styled Divya Khosla Kumar in this edgy and fun look. The combination of a black halter top with iridescent sequin pants from Any Old Iron created a standout look perfect for a high-energy promotional campaign.
I styled Disha Patani in this ethereal silver lehenga-saree by Ritika Mirchandani. The goal was to create a look that was both modern and rooted in Indian craftsmanship, perfect for an elegant evening event.
This architectural gown by Tanieya Khanuja was my choice for Rakul Preet Singh at the Pinkvilla Style Awards. The dramatic ruffled top and sleek sequined skirt created a powerful, high-fashion silhouette that was both artistic and elegant.
Styling Jonita Gandhi for her opening performance at the Dua Lipa concert in Mumbai was an incredible experience. We selected this exquisite Rahul Mishra Couture piece, focusing on intricate embroidery and pairing it with statement boots for a powerful stage presence.
For the Hello Awards, I dressed Mrunal Thakur in this romantic floral gown by Saiid Kobeisy. The tiered layers and delicate 3D floral appliqué created a classic, fairytale-inspired red carpet moment.
As part of the styling team for the 'Heeramandi' promotions, I helped create this look for Sonakshi Sinha. We chose a stunning green Anamika Khanna ensemble that blended traditional embroidery with a modern silhouette, fitting the series' grand aesthetic.
About Featured
Getting a celebrity look-ready is rarely just about picking a gown. It is a mix of precision and quick-thinking. Whether I am using professional-grade fashion tape to secure a plunging neckline or handling last-minute tailoring emergencies right before a red carpet, my job is to make sure the outfit stays perfect through hours of movement. Behind every polished image you see, there are long fitting sessions and on-site adjustments that make the final look come together.
My work as a stylist in Mumbai takes me across many different worlds. One day I am sourcing couture for a high-profile award show, and the next I am on set for a film promotion tour like 'Heeramandi' or an editorial shoot for magazines like Travel + Leisure.
The Collaborative Process
Styling is never a solo job. I thrive on the energy of working within a team of photographers, hair stylists, and makeup artists. This collaboration is what allows us to create cohesive visual narratives, whether we are styling an actor for a press junket or a performer for a major concert stage like the FIFA World Cup.
Practical Styling
When I take on a project, I focus on the reality of the event. For red carpet styling, that means managing logistical challenges like designer pick-ups, garment safety, and ensuring the silhouette works perfectly from every angle. For editorial and commercial work, I pay close attention to continuity, fabric movement, and how the light hits the texture of the garments.
My Approach to Fashion
I love mixing heavy couture labels with edgy, offbeat pieces from smaller designers. Whether it is a structured power suit for a media round or an ethereal lehenga-saree, my goal is to ensure the outfit reflects the individual's personality while remaining camera-ready. I handle the sourcing, the fittings, and the on-set dressing so that you or your client can focus entirely on the performance.
