A focused exploration of how materials like exposed brick, Kota stone, and custom concrete create spaces that are structurally sound and visually honest.

This short video tour shows the material details in the corridors and courtyards of Campus Biovet. We used a combination of Kota stone flooring, exposed brick pillars, and carefully selected planters to create a cohesive and nature-filled environment.

About this collection

When we select materials, we prioritize how they age in our local climate. Using exposed brick requires specific weather-proofing techniques to manage rain and sun exposure in Bengaluru, ensuring the facade maintains its structural integrity and texture over many years rather than just looking good at completion.

Architecture is not just about the final visual. It is about understanding the life cycle of every element we integrate. Our approach to material and detail focuses on creating environments that offer thermal comfort and low maintenance without sacrificing aesthetic impact.

We often utilize Kota stone for flooring because it remains cool underfoot and provides a grounding, natural texture that adapts well to various interior styles. When it comes to exposed brickwork, we pay attention to brick orientation and mortar joints, which allow for better ventilation and light diffusion through jaali patterns. This method not only improves air circulation but also creates a play of shadow and light that changes throughout the day.

Each material choice is a response to the site context. Whether we are incorporating custom cement tiles to introduce pattern in a dining area or utilizing high-traffic granite for common spaces, the goal remains the same. We aim for an honest expression of structure. If you are planning a new build or looking to renovate, we can discuss how these specific material applications can be integrated into your floor plans and elevations.
