We believe spaces should feel grounded. Our designs rely on natural, honest materials like exposed brick, cooling Kota stone, and local Mangalore tiles to create textures that age gracefully and tell a story.
We often explore the sculptural possibilities of common materials. This detail from the Ferns Cottage shows a projecting brick pattern that creates intricate shadows and adds a unique texture to the facade.
For this holiday home in Mangalore, we used locally sourced laterite stone for the walls. Its rich, earthy red color and porous texture give the building a strong sense of place and regional identity.
A wall of random rubble masonry provides a rugged, textural contrast to the smooth, finished surfaces of this Mangalore holiday home. The window opening is left without a frame to emphasize the thickness of the stone wall.

The roof of Villa Maati is covered in classic Mangalore tiles, a traditional material we use for its durability and timeless appeal. It pairs beautifully with the exposed brick walls and surrounding palm trees.

In the Polibetta Farmhouse, we upcycled rafters from the old house to create a new false ceiling. This sustainable practice not only reduces waste but also brings a piece of the property's history into the new design.

Exposed Brick & Laterite
We utilize wire-cut bricks and locally sourced laterite stone for their distinct thermal mass and rich, earthy hues. These materials do not merely provide a facade; they regulate indoor temperatures naturally, keeping spaces comfortable throughout the year.
Stone & Seamless Flooring
From river-finished Kota stone to hand-troweled cement oxide, our flooring choices focus on durability and a barefoot-friendly experience. We specialize in in-situ casting techniques that reduce grout lines, resulting in seamless, continuous surfaces that expand the visual sense of space.
Traditional Finishes
Lime plaster is a core element in our residential projects. Unlike synthetic paints, lime is breathable and offers a soft, tactile finish that evolves as the light shifts throughout the day. This provides a depth of character that modern flat finishes often lack.
Upcycled Elements
We believe history adds character. We integrate rafters from demolished structures and reclaimed wood into new furniture, door frames, and ceilings, preserving the site's previous life. This sustainable practice ensures no two projects are identical.
Functional Detailing
Every texture serves a purpose. Whether it is leather-finish granite counters in wet areas or custom steel-framed windows for light and transparency, our choices balance aesthetic warmth with long-term structural performance.
