Inside My Creative Sanctuary at Studio Karva
A glimpse into my space in Deonar, Mumbai, where we put aside the digital noise and get our hands into clay. Whether you are a beginner or a fellow potter, this is where we learn, create, and breathe together.
A quiet corner of my studio, a space for rest and reflection between creative sessions. I am so grateful to welcome you all to this new location in Deonar.
A video capturing the calm and focused atmosphere of the studio. From the gentle smoke of incense to the steady turning of the wheels, this is a space to breathe and be in the moment with clay.
About Welcome to Studio Karva
The studio is located in the Vaibhav Industrial Estate, a genuine working space with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. It is not a polished retail showroom, so please expect dust, clay stains, and the hum of spinning wheels—this is an authentic artist's studio where the real work happens.
When you walk into Studio Karva, you are entering my personal creative home. Since moving into this space in Deonar, I have worked to keep it raw and welcoming. You will find that it is non-AC, but well-ventilated with fans and open windows to let the Mumbai breeze in. It is a space designed for focus, conversation, and learning.
What to Expect
This is a community-first environment. Whether you are here for a corporate team-building session, a birthday party, or a foundational pottery workshop, you are sharing the same space where I fire my own ceramic pieces. You will see shelves filled with works-in-progress, test tiles, and the tools I use every day.
Location & Accessibility
We are situated in the Vaibhav Industrial Estate, conveniently accessible for those in Deonar, Govandi, and Chembur. As it is an industrial unit, it offers an industrial-chic atmosphere that is a refreshing change from the usual corporate or retail setups. If you have any specific accessibility needs or require help with heavy items, please let me know before you visit.
Why the Industrial Estate?
I chose this space because pottery requires room to move, to wedge clay, and to let things dry. It allows for the mess and the energy that comes with making art. It is about the process of turning a lump of mud into something functional. Bahot shukriya for being part of this journey. Jai Ma!
