School Activity Hub and Classroom Interior Design
We believe learning happens best in spaces that feel alive. From logic-driven math labs to serene yoga rooms, we build environments that spark curiosity and support every kind of student.
Custom storage solutions in one of the activity rooms. The combination of closed cabinets and open cubbies, finished in a calming two-tone blue, provides ample, organized space for materials.
The math lab features a clean, minimalist aesthetic to encourage focus. A simple wooden-framed blackboard is complemented by fun, educational graphics for the X and Y axes.
An interactive pegboard wall in the math lab allows for hands-on learning. Teachers and students can use oversized geometric tools to demonstrate concepts in a tangible and engaging way.
The serene yoga room, featuring a large "Surya Namaskara" mural that guides students through the sequence. The natural wood flooring and leafy graphics create a calm, grounded atmosphere for mindfulness and movement.

About this collection
In these hubs, we move away from standard desk-and-chair layouts. For instance, notice the interactive pegboard walls in the math lab or the custom-drawer storage. We design these specific elements so that teaching aids stay organized and accessible, turning the walls themselves into tools for active learning.
School design is about more than just fitting desks into a room. It is about understanding how a child moves, interacts, and learns throughout their day. When we approach a space like a math lab or an art studio, we focus on the specific 'rūh' or soul of that subject.
We prioritize materials that are durable yet tactile. Our modular furniture is crafted from high-quality Baltic Birch Plywood with non-toxic finishes, ensuring that everything is safe, child-friendly, and built to withstand years of heavy use. We avoid plastic where possible, choosing natural textures that feel better and last longer.
Functionality guides every layout. We incorporate heavy-duty, joint-free acoustic vinyl flooring in high-activity areas to manage noise and provide comfort. Our wall treatments are not just for aesthetics; they are interactive. Whether it is a mural that guides a student through a yoga sequence or a pegboard that makes math concepts tangible, every square foot is an opportunity for engagement. We work closely with school management to ensure these designs are not just pretty, but truly practical for daily school operations and changing pedagogical needs.
Studio Ruh
We’re Kavya and Shruthy, and at Studio Ruh, we love the challenge of school design. It’s never just about furniture; it’s about making a space feel inviting enough that a student actually wants to spend time there. We treat every corner as an opportunity to inspire.
