We believe schools are not just buildings but environments that shape a child's development. Our approach centers on circular forms and honest materials to create campuses that foster community, movement, and growth.

The completed exterior of Mount Carmel School's primary wing in Gurgaon. The design combines three core materials: exposed concrete, local stone repurposed from the original site, and red sandstone, creating a grounded yet modern institutional presence.

The curved red sandstone facade of the Mount Carmel School against the sky. This element adds warmth and texture to the building's circular form, with arched windows creating a rhythmic pattern that defines the upper levels.

The main entrance facade of Mount Carmel, featuring exposed concrete and a large stained-glass mural. This combination of raw materiality and artistry sets the tone for the creative and spiritual ethos of the educational space within.

The view from inside the main entrance lobby, looking out through the 'Garden of Eden' stained glass window. The design allows natural light to filter through the coloured glass, creating an inspiring and contemplative atmosphere in the reception area.

The dynamic interior courtyard of Mount Carmel School, showing the interplay of the helical staircases and circular corridors. This space is designed for movement and interaction, connecting all levels of the school in a continuous flow.

Students gather for assembly in the central courtyard, the heart of the school. This open, light-filled space was designed to foster a sense of community, reflection, and unity, making it an integral part of the daily learning experience.

An empty classroom at Mount Carmel, where the architectural language of arched windows and exposed concrete ceilings creates a calm and focused learning environment. The design prioritizes natural light and a sense of spaciousness.

A render of the school library, designed as a warm and inviting space for reading and discovery. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, wooden finishes, and ample natural light create a comfortable environment for students to learn.

About Educational Architecture: Spaces that Nurture

When we designed the primary wing at Mount Carmel, we did not start with a glass box. We used the existing stone from the site's boundary wall to build the structure. This approach is not just about reusing materials; it is about grounding the school in its own history, creating a tactile environment where children touch, feel, and grow in a space that connects them to their surroundings.
