Auditorium & Performance Space Design
We designed this auditorium to go beyond just seating. It is a professional-grade space built for performances, connection, and storytelling, crafted to hold both the audience and the art with care.
The heart of the school's cultural life, this 550-seat auditorium is designed for excellence. The sweeping view showcases the tiered seating, professional lighting rig, and acoustically treated walls that ensure every performance is seen and heard perfectly.

The auditorium lobby features wood-paneled walls with beautifully designed graphic panels that narrate the rich cultural history of India. A concealed door seamlessly integrates into the paneling, showcasing our attention to detail.

The VIP lounge offers a quiet, comfortable retreat. We selected elegant sofas and a stunning, sculptural pendant light to create a refined and private space for guests.

About this collection
In this 550-seater project, the technical magic happens behind the scenes. We combined acoustic fabric panels with curved wooden forms to manage sound without feeling like a clinical studio. For the lobby, we used a warmer palette to turn a waiting area into a space that actually tells the school’s story before the curtain even rises.
Designing an auditorium is not just about fitting in as many chairs as possible. It is about creating an environment where sound, light, and comfort align to support the performance. For the Sri Kumaran project, we looked at the space as a living entity.
We utilized high-performance acoustic treatment, using a mix of fabric grippers and wooden slats, to ensure clarity for everything from soft spoken words to musical performances. The lighting rig and AV infrastructure were integrated into the design, rather than being tacked on, so the focus stays on the stage.
We also focused on the 'in-between' spaces. The lobby and VIP lounge were treated with the same level of detail as the main hall, featuring custom graphics and wood paneling that reflect the cultural legacy of the institution. We want the experience to start the moment someone walks through the door, not just when the show begins.
