This is where the magic happens. A behind-the-scenes look at our creative shoot for Advait. It was a passion project, and you can see our amazing team working together to get the perfect shot in a makeshift kitchen studio.
So excited to be on set with the one and only Vir Das. It was such a pleasure to collaborate with Maison Tai to style this incredibly funny and talented human for his show. Moments like these are what make our job so rewarding.

About Behind The Scenes
What you see in a finished campaign is the result of hours of work that usually stays out of the frame. For every look, our team is busy clamping garments to fit the model perfectly, steaming out every wrinkle, and coordinating with the photographer to ensure the lighting matches the mood. This is the messy, technical, and fast-paced reality of professional styling that we live for, where every tiny detail determines if the final image works or fails.
At Studio 9696, we don't just pick outfits; we manage the visual narrative of a set. Whether we are working on a high-fashion editorial in Chennai or a commercial ad campaign for a major brand, our role is to act as the bridge between the creative vision and the final output.
The Reality of a Set
Our process is hands-on. You will rarely find us just sitting on the sidelines. We are the ones on the floor with double-sided tape, pins, and garment steamers, ensuring that the silhouette looks intentional, not just wearable. During an editorial shoot, this means experimenting with layering and textures to create a mood. In a commercial shoot, it means prioritizing continuity—making sure the actor's shirt collar or a brand accessory looks identical in every single take.

We thrive in environments where the creative team—photographers, makeup artists, and art directors—is integrated. Our favourite projects, like those with brands such as Advait or celebrity shoots with Vir Das, succeed because everyone is pulling in the same direction. When we style for jewellery brands like Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers, the styling must complement the light and the angle, not fight it. That is why we review shots on the monitor in real-time, catching issues with threads or fits before the team moves to the next setup.
