Fashion isn’t just the final shot on a magazine cover. It’s the hours of precision in the makeup chair, the delicate adjustments backstage, and the collaborative rhythm required to get that one perfect frame.

About Behind the Scenes

You’re seeing the quiet focus in the makeup chair and the final tuck of a hem right before the lights hit. These snapshots are the real narrative—the precise, and sometimes frantic, work that happens long before the camera shutter clicks. Whether it's draping a saree or pinning a couture gown, the magic is in the preparation.

Styling is often romanticized, but the truth is it's a team sport. Behind every polished look—whether it's Sonam Kapoor’s archival vintage ensemble or a high-octane runway look—is a sequence of logistics. It’s the art of managing the chaos: ensuring the lighting hits the fabric just right, the hair pins are invisible, and the model feels the character of the garment.

My approach to these sessions is candid. I like to document the raw moments because they ground the final images. When we are on set, my focus is twofold: the technical perfection (like ensuring a metal wire saree gown is secured) and the emotional narrative (making sure the look fits the mood of the shoot).

Why the process matters

  • Backstage Management: We handle inventory, manage quick changes, and ensure grooming directives are followed. Something always happens on set, and being there ensures the vision remains consistent.
  • Technical Precision: From sourcing archival pieces to the precise calibration of jewelry, I am there to make sure the vision stays consistent from the first fitting to the final upload.
  • Collaborative Energy: Fashion is a dance. It honors the hair, makeup, and photography team, not just the clothes. Seeing the team work in these candid shots shows that great styling is never a one-person show.

I don’t just style an outfit; I build a scene. Whether it’s a red carpet moment or a gritty editorial, I believe the magic lies in the details that most people miss—the drape, the mood, and the quiet hours of preparation before the flash goes off.
