About Behind the Scenes: The Creative Process
What you see on screen is the result of an intense, full-day effort. Behind every 30-second commercial or print ad is a constant juggle between camera angles, lighting setups, and wardrobe adjustments to ensure perfect continuity. It takes a dedicated team to keep the visual story seamless from start to finish.
Many clients are surprised by the volume of work that goes into a single scene. Whether it is a rain sequence for a sports commercial or a neon-lit studio setup, the wardrobe needs to move, breathe, and look perfect on camera. My process starts with script analysis and moodboards, followed by days of sourcing and fittings to ensure every element aligns with the brand vision.
On set, my job shifts to maintaining continuity across different takes, handling wardrobe malfunctions in real-time, and managing the team that ensures every pleat and accessory is in place. Collaboration with the Director and DOP is critical. We define the visual palette together, making sure the costumes support the story rather than distracting from it. I enjoy the technical challenge of macro-styling—adjusting jewelry clasps or steaming fabric while the camera is rolling—because it is in those tiny details that the final image comes to life. If you want to see how this technical approach translates to finished brand work for clients like McDonald's or Air India, you can explore my brand campaigns cluster.
