We build homes that act as filters for breeze, light, and the sounds of nature. Our architecture seeks the soul of the site to create simple, climate-responsive retreats.

An aerial view of the Lakeshore house, nestled within its 50 acre site on Lake Osman Sagar. The structure is designed to be a subtle insertion into the geological history of the place, respecting the rocks and trees that were there long before us.

For the House with the Gabion, the approach was simple. When you have a kick-ass view, you make a verandah. This home is a testament to that idea, a long, open space designed to embrace the surrounding landscape.

This Alibaug home is a response to the coastal, monsoon intensive climate. High, sloped solar fin roofs allow for thermal stack release and cooling, while deep verandahs create comfortable living spaces that keep moisture at bay.

Building along the western coast is unforgiving, so sensible sloping roofs are paramount. This home uses Basalt, the region's hardy stone, and as many courtyards as possible to connect with the place and its spirit.

The Gomati country home is built entirely in Kotah stone. The main living pavilion sits atop a rising green mound, which was formed from the rubble of old structures on the site, turning demolition into a new geography.

The House in a Grove embraces its setting, pushing inhabitants to use the grove and its undergrowth as a living space. The architecture becomes a bystander, a quiet partner to the trees and the pool reflecting the sky.

Nestled in a grove in Alibaug, this home delivers an alfresco living experience under tree canopies. Lounging, dining, and reading happen outdoors, cradled in the spirit of nature. Nothing more, nothing less.

Another view of the Villa in a Grove, where the pool becomes a central element, reflecting the dense canopy. The design encourages a life lived outdoors, blurring the lines between the built structure and the natural world.

Our Lakeshore house on Lake Osman Sagar is a two story filter for breezes and views. The construct is a precise metal skeleton with rammed earth infill from the site itself, a method we chose to minimize disruption.

This film depicts life in the verdant green of Alibaug. For patrons who have chosen to live here for good, we evolve smart, soulful solutions for a life in sync with nature. Architecture can be like a favorite coat, soothing your being as you age.

About Country & Lakeside Homes

Every home we design starts with a deep study of the site's micro-climate—where the wind hits, how the sun moves, and where the trees stand. We do not flatten the land to fit a blueprint. Instead, we let the existing topography, whether it is a rocky outcrop or a dense grove, dictate the layout, ensuring your home feels like it grew from the ground rather than being placed upon it.
