Thoughtfully Crafted Residential Sanctuaries
We design homes that ground you in your surroundings, using natural light and hyper-local materials to turn a site into a place of true belonging.
The Debris Block House in Bangalore is surrounded by trees, allowing for full-height windows and jaali screens. The stepping volumes are built with blocks made from debris from the original structure that once stood on this plot.

A quiet moment of afternoon light at the Debris Block House. The open, multi-level staircase is not just for circulation; it's a place to pause and a channel for sunlight to filter through the home.
Soft morning light fills a bedroom in the Debris Block House. The jaali screen provides both natural ventilation and security, allowing the large window to be left open to the verdant views outside.
A subtle shift in the multi-level open staircase of the Debris Block House brings a dance of light from strategic skylights down to the ground floor. The interplay of light, shadow, and material is a key element of the design.

The Lakehouse in Hyderabad is perched on a rocky hill, with its distinct portals oriented to frame specific views of the lake and the city. The structure is designed to touch the ground lightly, preserving the natural terrain.
About Residential Sanctuaries
We believe in testing before building. For our residential projects, we create 4ft on-site mock-ups to test how light interacts with materials like hand-moulded brick and mud blocks. This ensures the final space feels exactly as intended, connected to its environment and scaled to the human experience.
Our approach to residential architecture begins with the site itself. Whether we are designing a home on a dense urban plot in Bangalore or a remote landscape, we map the sun path and existing vegetation to inform every decision.
We prioritize materials that tell a story. In projects like our Debris Block House, we recycled waste from the site to create the walls. This reduces the need for new resources while grounding the home in its own history. We use techniques like load-bearing brickwork and jaali screens to provide natural ventilation and security, allowing you to keep windows open to the views outside. Strategic skylights are placed to bring a dance of light into the heart of the house throughout the day.
This process is collaborative and rigorous. We coordinate directly with structural, MEP, and landscape consultants to ensure the technical foundation is as strong as the aesthetic vision. We also handle the supervision ourselves, conducting weekly site visits to monitor finish precision and material sealing. Our goal is to create spaces that age gracefully, using honest materials that feel good to the touch and respond to the specific climate of the location.
