Homes of Earth and Sky: Architecture in Dialogue with Nature
We build structures that breathe, blurring the line between the built environment and the natural landscape. These homes aren't just shelters; they are conversations with the land.
The Lateral Verandah House features a dramatic roofline that mirrors the stepping terrain. A bridge-like structure connects different parts of the home over the infinity pool.
The living area of the Lateral Verandah House is enclosed by glass walls, offering panoramic views of the landscape. The angled timber roof structure is a dominant feature of the design.
An aerial view of the Lateral Verandah House shows how the structure is nestled into the lush green hillside, its form dictated by the natural contours of the land.
The design of the Lateral Verandah House creates a powerful connection to the outdoors, with the living space flowing directly onto a grassy lawn and pool deck.
The interior of the Lateral Verandah House is a large, open space defined by the timber roof structure and raw basalt walls, with existing trees integrated into the design.

At the House of Solid Stone, narrow fissures between stone walls frame views of the surrounding greenery, drawing on traditional methods to cool the home and connect it to nature.

Our House of Solid Stone project was featured in Designboom. The photo shows a unique pivoting circular window set within a heavy stone wall, a playful yet precise detail.
About Homes of Earth and Sky
You will notice that we do not force a pre-set footprint onto your land. We analyze the terrain, sun paths, and natural air currents first, often letting the topography dictate the structure's orientation. This method of site-responsive planning naturally cools the interior, reducing dependence on mechanical climate control and making your home feel like a permanent part of the landscape.
Architecture as a Forensic Process
We approach every residential project as an act of archaeology. Before we sketch, we listen. Whether it is a hillside in Lonavala or a flat plot in Alibaug, our first task is to identify the silent orders of the site—where the breeze flows, how the light hits at different hours, and what the soil requires.
Material Honesty
Our 'Homes of Earth and Sky' rely on elemental materials that age with grace. We prioritize hand-cast terrazzo, exposed brick, and raw basalt stone. These materials do not hide their nature; they gain character as the seasons pass. By utilizing cavity wall construction and stone screens, we achieve significant temperature variations between the exterior and interior, creating thermal comfort without relying on energy-heavy HVAC systems.
The Turnkey Difference
We bridge the gap between design theory and construction reality. Because we manage the build process, we can adapt our architectural plans in real-time as the site reveals its complexities. From structural voids that act as light wells to custom-forged pivoting doors, every detail is engineered to reinforce the relationship between the inhabitant and the environment. We do not just hand over a set of drawings; we deliver a habitat that feels like it has always belonged to its place.
