We believe architecture begins long before any software opens. Every project starts with a conversation and a hand-drawn sketch to map your vision onto the site.

At my studio, we believe that sketching by hand allows us to think through ideas comprehensively. This video shows my team and I at work, creating the multiple rough sketches that are a crucial step before any design development begins.

This video is a presentation I gave at the World Architecture Festival for the Slender House. It explains the journey from the client's brief and the site's constraints to the final design, which is an inward-looking home built around a central courtyard.

This video shows the shuttering work in progress for a curved concrete arch at our upcoming project in Agra. This pivotal stage is where the design intent begins to take tangible form, requiring custom-crafted formwork to ensure structural and visual accuracy.

A site visit to our Kochi mansion project, which is nearing completion. This 50,000-square-foot, four-story home with multiple internal courtyards is one of our most ambitious projects to date.

This is where it all begins. A simple hand-drawn sketch helps to quickly map out the basic layout and relationships between spaces, like this initial plan for the 'Maya' residence.19
A quick sketch is often the fastest way to explore an idea. Here, I'm laying out the fundamental zones of a house, thinking about the path of the sun and how the family will live in the space.
Using a physical model is a key part of our design process. It allows us and the client to understand the building's form and how light will interact with it in a way that 2D drawings just can't capture.

This diagram explains the form development and environmental strategy for a commercial building. It shows how we staggered the massing, oriented the building to control sun exposure, and used a modern jaali as a shading system to reduce energy consumption.
These diagrams illustrate the evolution of an organic façade for a commercial building. The process moves from developing a language of curves to breaking it with horizontal members, and finally to creating a perforated screen that reduces solar heat gain.
