Designing Grand Residences and Luxury Farmhouses

My process for these large-scale residences begins with rigorous site-specific sun-path analysis to ensure every volume captures natural light while maintaining necessary privacy. We do not just build large; we orchestrate how you move from pool-facing lounges to private garden terraces, ensuring the architectural scale never feels overwhelming or cold.
Architecture at this scale is less about size and more about the narrative of space. When designing a farmhouse or a grand estate, I focus on the rhythm of the structure. Take the Sachdeva Farmhouse, for example; we centered the entire home around an internal pool to create an immersive, resort-like environment. The architecture acts as a frame for the landscape, with double-height lobbies and cantilevered projections that capture the light at different times of the day.
In urban residences like the Ashraya project, the challenge shifts from capturing vast open land to creating internal nature. We utilize central courtyards, not as mere decorative voids, but as vertical lungs that connect the ground floor to the upper levels, allowing for natural cross-ventilation and deep light penetration.
My material palette is always deliberate. I prefer the tactile honesty of Indian slate, reclaimed wood, and exposed concrete over synthetic finishes. Whether it is a zinc-clad cantilevered box or a terrace garden designed for solitude, the goal is to create a home that feels like a sanctuary. We balance the grandeur of high volumes with intimate nooks—places for quiet reflection, reading, or family interaction.
