For thirty years, we have approached architecture as a living, breathing entity. Our practice, led by Shimul Javeri Kadri, has evolved into a collaborative collective of thinkers and creators. We don't believe in applying style as a veneer; instead, we look at the specific narrative of a place—its climate, its history, and its community—to inform our design decisions.

Why We Collaborate with Artisans

We believe that buildings are best when they are built with human hands. By integrating traditional crafts like stone carving, weaving, and metalwork into our designs, we add a tactile layer to our work. These collaborations are not merely aesthetic; they are functional, helping us solve design challenges while keeping traditional knowledge alive.

Our Approach to Climate & Sustainability

Sustainability is not an afterthought in our process. We design for the Indian climate by prioritizing passive cooling, natural light, and the use of local materials. From building envelope design to rainwater management, our technical rigor is aimed at creating buildings that consume less, last longer, and feel more comfortable.

Our work has been honored by the AD100 list and the INDE Awards, but we measure our success by the spaces we create—sanctuaries that encourage reflection and connection.
