Stop listening to gym myths and start moving real iron. Whether you are a beginner or an athlete, we focus on raw biomechanics and building real strength.

This is what my workshops are all about: breaking down complex lifts like the snatch and clean into simple, manageable steps. If you're wondering if Olympic lifting is safe or how to get started, this is your answer. We focus on hands-on learning to build your confidence with the barbell.

Many people are told that barbell squats are dangerous, but that's usually because they haven't been taught the correct biomechanics. I break down common myths, like the idea that your knees can't go over your toes, and explain how to use your body's natural mechanics to squat safely and powerfully.

Not all barbells are created equal, and the right equipment makes a huge difference in your training. I explain the specific uses for each bar we have at Basebell, from whippy Olympic bars to stiff powerlifting bars and even specialized women's bars, so you understand the tools you're using to get stronger.

I believe in leading by example, and that means mastering the fundamentals myself. Here I am performing a 160kg barbell squat for two reps, beltless, at twice my bodyweight. This demonstrates the power of proper technique and proves that the barbell is an unmatched tool for building real leg strength.

The path to strength isn't a straight line; it's filled with failures and learning opportunities. This video shows my own journey, from constantly failing a lift to putting in the work over six weeks to make it look easy. It's a reminder that ego gets you nowhere, but good coaching and consistent effort get you results.

The hip hinge is the foundation for a safe and powerful deadlift, but it's a movement many beginners struggle with. I use simple, effective drills like this one to teach the correct pattern, ensuring your back stays straight and you learn to engage your glutes and hamstrings properly from day one.

Basebell isn't just a gym; it's a community of people dedicated to getting stronger together. This walkthrough shows our training space in action, filled with members who are pushing their limits. The real strength of our studio is the people who train here every day.

Competing is the ultimate test of your training. Here, you can see the reality of a weightlifting competition, including the failed attempts and the physical toll it takes. Even though I missed the podium, sharing the stage with strong competitors fuels my drive to come back and hit my target numbers.

The biggest mistake people make with the barbell isn't their effort, it's their setup. During our bootcamps, I teach you exactly why knees over toes is safer than avoiding them, how to brace your core to protect your spine, and which specific bars we use to match your grip strength, because if you aren't training with the right tool, you aren't training efficiently.
