My Coaching Philosophy: Real Strength Training

Forget the fancy trends you see on social media. My approach to training at Basebell is about simple, proven biomechanics that build raw strength and fix your movement patterns, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned athlete.

Not every fancy looking exercise you see online is effective. Sometimes, I do things just for fun, but I'm honest about it. There are hundreds of better, simpler exercises to train specific muscles, so don't waste your time on useless movements.

The most advanced coaches have an incredible mastery of the basics. Amateurs often call these fundamental concepts faulty simply because they lack the depth of understanding to see the complex principles behind them.

When you're looking for advice, take it from someone who does the job for a living, not from a random person on social media doing it for likes. Be careful what information you consume.

Anyone can get a certificate and call themselves a trainer, but it takes much more to be a coach. A real coach does far more than just design workouts you could find online; they guide, educate, and adapt.

Knowledge is knowing a squat is a leg exercise. Wisdom is knowing how to apply it effectively for strength, performance, and even injury rehabilitation. The application is what separates an expert from a novice.

It's not the exercise or the intensity that causes injury; it's improper execution and poor movement patterns. Instead of fearing certain exercises, focus on learning good form and listening to your coach.

Lifting heavy has almost never been the cause of an injury. Bad form and poor technique are the real culprits. Don't fear pushing your limits; fear doing it incorrectly.

Everyone's body is built differently, with different limb and torso proportions. These anatomical differences, such as being a brachio-morph or mesomorph, give individuals unique mechanical advantages or disadvantages in certain lifts.

A dolichomorph, with longer limbs relative to their torso, will naturally move differently than someone with shorter limbs. This is why a "one size fits all" approach to exercise form doesn't work; posture must be adjusted to individual leverage.

A great workout program isn't about fancy, complex exercises. It's about taking simple, fundamental movements and executing them in the most effective way possible.

About My Coaching Philosophy

Everyone's body is built differently, which is why a one-size-fits-all program is guaranteed to fail. Whether you are a brachio-morph or a dolichomorph, your limb-to-torso proportions dictate how you should squat or deadlift. I do not give you generic templates. I adjust your technique based on your specific leverage, ensuring you move heavy weights safely and effectively without ego getting in the way.

Moving Beyond The Hype

Social media loves labeling certain lifts as dangerous, but that is nonsense. An exercise is not inherently harmful, but poor execution is. I spend time teaching you the biomechanics—the line of gravity, spinal alignment, and hip hinge—so you are not just moving weight, you are mastering it.

Why Your Anatomy Matters

At Basebell in Kalyan Nagar, we assess how you are actually built. If you have long limbs, your squat mechanics will naturally differ from someone with shorter levers. We adapt the lift to you, rather than forcing your body into a cookie-cutter position that leads to injury. This is why my workshops focus on deep dives into movement rather than just recording sets for the camera.

The Basebell Standard

You are not here for workouts that look good on Instagram. You are here because you want to get strong. We use barbells, axle bars, and strongman implements to build performance that lasts. Whether you are rehabbing a sports injury or looking to smash your personal best on the deadlift, the goal remains the same: raw, functional strength. You do not need a fancy certificate to call yourself a trainer, but you do need to understand how the body actually functions under load. Stop scrolling through feeds looking for hacks and start training the right way.
