About In-Person Workshops & Live Demos
These workshops are hands-on, not just demonstrations. You need to bring your own materials as I focus on the practical 'how'—how much water to use, how to control brush pressure, and how to mix colors for that perfect wash—while you paint alongside me in a small, interactive group.
How My Workshops Work
I travel to cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Jaipur to conduct 1-day intensive workshops, usually lasting 4 to 5 hours. The focus is simple: you watch me demonstrate a technique or composition, and then we do it together. I keep batches between 15 and 25 people. This size is intentional; it allows me to walk around, correct your hand pressure, help with water control, and answer questions as you work.
Why You Should Bring Your Own Materials
I always recommend BYOM (Bring Your Own Materials). Why? Because you need to get comfortable with your own tools. I teach you how to manage the palette you already own, not just the one I have. If you are a beginner, I provide a detailed material list beforehand so you buy the right things, not just expensive ones.
My Teaching Philosophy
Art is not about copying a photograph or another artist's work. It is about your perspective. In these sessions, we cover:
- Technique: Transparency, wet-on-wet methods, and managing light and shadow.
- Subjects: Monthly rotations between landscapes and figurative studies.
- Originality: We focus on developing your own way of seeing the world, whether you are sketching a market scene or painting a portrait.
If you want to move from theory to actual practice, join me at my next session. We keep the vibe informal, focused, and honest.
