Figure Drawing & Pencil Portrait Sketching
I do not just teach you how to draw, I show you how to see. These sketches come from my live demos where we focus on anatomy, gesture, and capturing real expressions.
A detailed pencil portrait of actor Ranveer Singh, created as a demonstration for my advanced portrait class. The focus is on achieving realism and capturing a strong expression.
A video showing the process of sketching a figure in pencil, from the initial construction lines to the final shading and details.
A time-lapse video of a seated figure being sketched in pencil, demonstrating how to build up form and texture through line work.
A quick figure drawing video, showing how to capture the gesture and form of a person in traditional attire using expressive pencil lines.
A video demonstration of a figure drawing, perfect for students learning to sketch from reference.
A close-up video of a pencil sketch, showing the technique of cross-hatching to build shadows and create depth in a portrait.

About this collection
When we sketch figures, we are not chasing perfection, we are chasing the gesture. In my online and studio sessions, I focus on the 'why' behind every line—how weight distribution affects posture or how cross-hatching builds shadow depth. If you have been relying on filters or tracing photos, this approach will feel different because it is based on observation, not mimicry.
Drawing is the bedrock of art. Whether you are prepping for art school or just want to capture daily life, understanding the human form is non-negotiable. My figure and portrait sketching curriculum covers anatomy fundamentals, perspective, and lighting. We start with quick line work to establish gesture and then layer in shading techniques to create form.
I treat every session as an opportunity to move past the superficial. We don't just draw outlines. We talk about how muscle structure shifts under clothes, how light hits a face, and why a slightly crooked line can sometimes hold more character than a perfect one. Whether you join my live online classes or come to my Ghaziabad studio, the expectation is the same: honesty.
I see too many students trying to jump to complex portraits without understanding basic anatomy. My classes correct this. We study everything from torso structures to the subtle textures of skin using pencil and charcoal.
This is not a space for copying others. If you are serious about building your own visual language and want to stop relying on generic references, this is where we start. Expect practical feedback, live demos of my own process, and a lot of focus on your individual progress.
