Build Real Strength with Bodyweight and Samtola Training
Move better, feel stronger, and connect with your body. We blend age-old techniques like the Samtola and traditional bodyweight movements to build lasting resilience.
This is the Samtola, or Indian barbell, one of my favorite pieces of equipment. It is incredibly versatile for a full-body workout, great for both conditioning and strengthening. You should definitely come check it out.
Here is a full-body workout circuit that requires no equipment. I've put together different exercises like the Dand (Indian push-up) and Bhaitak (Indian squat) to target different muscle groups and build strength anywhere.
People often think our training is just for shoulders, but have you experienced a leg day with us yet? We use tools like the Samtola and dumbbells to ensure all your lower body muscles are targeted effectively.
One percent better every day. That's my goal. This is my daily grind, combining skipping, weighted push-ups, and rope climbs. It’s about showing up and giving your 100 percent, even if that feels like 40 percent on some days.
You don't stumble across courage and strength; you cultivate it. You build it with daily choices, like doing rope climbs, push-ups, and sand jumps. You build it by picking yourself up every time you fall.
A typical day of training with us is a full-body experience. We use a combination of Dands, mudgars, and the samtola to work on balance, stability, coordination, and core strength. It's truly 'India ka apna workout'.
The Dand, or Indian push-up, is a complete full-body workout. This video breaks down how it activates both the posterior and anterior chains, engaging everything from your hamstrings and calves to your triceps and core.
About this collection
Many people think starting with the Samtola (Indian barbell) requires prior strength, but it is actually the perfect tool for learning control. Whether you pick up our 1.8kg base weight or something heavier, we focus entirely on your grip, shoulder rotation, and form first. It is about building a foundation that lasts, rather than just hitting a rep count.
Rethinking Your Workout
Traditional Indian fitness isn't just about lifting heavy; it is about longevity and functional capability. When we use the Samtola, we aren't just training for aesthetics. We are teaching your body to handle uneven loads, improving your grip strength, and ensuring your shoulders stay mobile. If you are tired of the repetitive nature of modern gym machines, this is the environment for you.
The Power of Bodyweight
We prioritize movements that your body was designed for. The Dand (Indian push-up) and Bhaitak (Indian squat) are complete workouts in themselves. These aren't new trends; they are battle-tested routines that build core stability, leg power, and endurance. We start where you are, whether that means adjusting your range of motion or taking those first baby steps into a full flow.
Where We Train
Our sessions are hosted at our open-air studio in Sivanchetti Gardens, Bengaluru. Training here, surrounded by the elements, adds a different layer to your practice. It is not a sterile gym environment; it is a space to breathe, sweat, and show up for yourself.
What to Expect
- Skill-First Approach: We prioritize form over weight every single time.
