The Journey Within: My Path to Strength
Fitness is rarely a straight line. It is full of highs, lows, and the lessons we learn in between. This is my story of building strength, inside and out.
I recently sprained my ankle, and while injuries suck, they are also a chance to build resilience. Strength training provides an "insurance policy" for your body, helping you bounce back faster with better muscle memory and joint support.
This is my imperfect journey. We often only see the final, perfected movement on social media, not the frustrating or exhilarating process behind it. I'm proud of this celebratory relationship I've built with myself.
I've faced many challenges in my fitness journey, from not listening to my body to comparing myself to others. Now, I'm proud of how far I've come, honoring my unique journey and understanding that my goals are my own.
My first 120 minute spin ride was an exhilarating experience that taught me a valuable lesson. In our weakest moments, our most powerful version is waiting to be born. I hope we all learn to be bigger than our fears.
One percent better than yesterday. That's my goal. It won't happen overnight, but by making small changes to my daily habits, I know they will add up to something significant.
About this collection
When I talk about my fitness journey, I am not showing you a highlight reel. I am showing you what it looks like to navigate fibromyalgia, sprained ankles, and mental blocks while still showing up for yourself. We start exactly where you are, not where you think you should be, because the most sustainable progress happens when you stop fighting your own body and start listening to it.
My path hasn't been about reaching a specific number on the scale or hitting a perfect aesthetic. It has been about building a body that can handle life’s demands—whether that is trekking in the Himalayas or bouncing back from injury.
Why My Approach is Different
When I work with clients, we focus on that same foundation. Whether you are using traditional Indian tools like the Gada (mace) and Mudgar (clubs) at my Indiranagar studio, or training remotely via my app, the goal remains the same: functional power that serves you in the real world.
What "Tagda" Means
To be 'Tagda' (strong) is a mindset. It is that feeling of fearlessness when you pick up a weight that once intimidated you. We strip away the gym intimidation and focus on basics: Dand (push-ups), Baithak (squats), and animal flow patterns that build mobility and longevity.
Moving Forward Together
If you are currently in a place of self-doubt or recovering from a setback, know that you are not alone. My own training evolved because I had to learn the hard way—rest is not a luxury, it is a non-negotiable part of progress. Let’s stop comparing your Day 1 to someone else’s Day 100. We can start small, move with intention, and build something lasting.
