I traded spreadsheets for asanas to find a different kind of balance. Here is the path that took me from logic-driven corporate life to the stillness of Classical Hatha Yoga.

People often tell me, "ab tum ban kar nahi rehti" (you don't dress up anymore). They are right. I used to be a Chartered Accountant, living a life of logic. Now, I find myself by closing my eyes, not by looking in a mirror. This video shows a little of that shift from my old life to this one.

People think I have "found myself," but the truth is I feel more lost than ever. The difference is that now, I can afford to be lost and still be joyful, because I know Sadhguru's grace is there. This path is not about finding answers, but about dissolving the need for them.

I had been to Rishikesh before, but only after starting my practices did I truly experience its energy. This is what yoga does; it doesn't just change your body, it enhances your very perception of life. This is the grace of Sadhguru at work, allowing you to experience the world with a new depth.

Doing my asanas on the Kashi ghats was an experience I will never forget. Practicing in powerful, consecrated spaces can deepen your meditation and your connection to your own practice in ways you never thought possible.

This is a glimpse of my time at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. It's a place that feels like 'maya' because it's too good to be true. Here, you give your all each day and discover a joy that comes simply from giving, not from getting.

About My Journey: From CA to Hatha Yogi

I used to think yoga was just for backaches, a physical fix for the corporate grind. But the real shift happened when I stopped trying to solve my life with spreadsheets and started observing it with my eyes closed. This path is not about becoming flexible, it is about becoming capable of handling whatever life throws at you with genuine stability.

When I was working as a Chartered Accountant, my life was ruled by logic. If a problem existed, I built a formula to solve it. I viewed Yoga through the same narrow lens, assuming it was a mechanical exercise for physical relief. I was wrong.

The Shift from Logic to Grace

My perspective flipped when I stopped looking at Yoga as a task to complete. Whether I am practicing on the ghats in Kashi or in my own living room, I have learned that the practice is about enhancing perception. You do not need to believe me; you can test this for yourself. When you commit to the practice, the noise of daily life begins to settle, and you find a stillness that no amount of logic can provide.

Why Practice in Consecrated Spaces?

My time in places like Rishikesh and the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore taught me that the environment matters. Practicing in these charged spaces allows you to tap into a depth of experience that is difficult to find elsewhere. However, the goal is not to stay in an ashram forever. The goal is to bring that clarity and 'maya' (the magic of life) into your daily routine. That is why I focus on teaching you how to make your practice your own, so you are not dependent on props, music, or me.
