Wisdom for Commitment and Daily Sadhana
The path of yoga is not a destination, but a lifelong process of breaking through internal limitations. Here are the thoughts that keep me grounded in my own practice.
One day, I heard Sadhguru say that you must make your life's decisions in a moment of joy and clarity, and then stick to it no matter how difficult it gets. This was a turning point for me. It's not about the destination, but about walking the path with unwavering commitment.
About Additional Inspirations
It is easy to stay consistent when you feel inspired, but the real work starts on the days you do not want to get on the mat. I have learned that the secret is not motivation, but a moment of clarity where you decide to commit to the process regardless of how you feel.
I spent years crunching numbers, convinced that life was a series of spreadsheets and logic. When I found Hatha Yoga, I realized that true stability does not come from controlling your external circumstances, but from how you hold your internal state.
Many students come to me asking how to stay motivated. My answer is always the same: do not rely on motivation. Motivation is a fleeting state. Instead, rely on the commitment you made in a moment of clarity. This is what I call sadhana. It is not an extra task in your day, but the foundation upon which everything else rests.
Whether you are struggling with a chattering mind during pranayama or just finding the discipline to wake up subah-subah (early morning), know that you are not alone. My work with the 21-day cohorts is designed to help you cross that barrier of resistance. We use no props and no music, because the aim is not to entertain the senses, but to refine your focus.
If you have been searching for a sangha (community) that understands this, I invite you to join us. We keep the practice simple and the accountability high. You learn to practice on your own, so that the yoga stays with you long after the session ends.
