For my busy clients, I have one strict rule: keep the cabinetry white. This is not just about the aesthetic. When you are juggling a packed schedule, white surfaces act as a visual prompt. One glance is all it takes to spot what needs cleaning, which is the only way to keep a high-traffic space truly spotless.
When I design a kitchen, I am not just looking at the floor plan. I am thinking about how you move from the fridge to the sink. In my Cityscape Serenity project, for instance, we used an emerald green backsplash and floor tiles to add life, but kept the main cabinetry crisp white. It works because it balances personality with practicality.
A kitchen needs to be an engine. I always include a dedicated vegetable rinse bowl separate from the main dishwashing area, which is a small change that saves so much frustration during daily prep. If you have the room, an island counter is brilliant, not just for extra counter space but as a natural gathering point for the family.
I also plan for the messy reality of daily cooking. We integrate high-capacity storage so that your countertops stay clear of appliances and clutter.
