About The Art of the Entrance
A grand foyer isn't just about space; it is about the transition. In this 20-foot foyer, I used a deep green palette paired with a curved ceiling and layered cove lighting to shift the mood instantly from the bustle of Mumbai to a calm, royal retreat. I don't just put up a door; I curate the passage, using architectural wall coverings and custom marble inlays to make the journey from the hallway to your living room feel deliberate and dramatic.
Designing an entrance is about controlling the narrative of the home. When I design a foyer, my goal is to separate the outside world from your personal sanctuary.
Why the First Impression Matters
Most Mumbai apartments are compact, so a foyer often feels like an afterthought. I treat it as an opportunity to set the tone for everything else. Whether it is a 5BHK apartment or a luxury penthouse, the entrance is where we build anticipation.

- Structure and Flow: I often look at the height of the space. If we have a 12-foot ceiling, we use vertical fluted panels or architectural wall coverings to emphasize that scale.
