Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga for Mothers
Pregnancy is a profound transformation. We guide you through this journey with safe, gentle movements designed to nurture both your body and your baby, ensuring you feel strong and supported at every stage.
On National Safe Motherhood Day, we celebrate the journey of motherhood. We believe in nurturing the mother as much as the baby, and our prenatal and postnatal yoga is designed to ensure a safe, strong, and smooth journey.
About For Mothers and Mothers-to-Be
We do not ask you to perform advanced asanas. Instead, we use props like bolsters, blocks, and chairs to open your chest and relieve the lower back pressure that often comes with carrying your baby. Whether you are navigating the physical shifts of pregnancy or the recovery phase postpartum, our priority is safe alignment that respects your current capacity.
Prenatal Care: Your Changing Body
Pregnancy affects every system in the body. We focus on gentle Pranayama (breathwork) to manage anxiety and improve oxygen flow, which is crucial for both you and your baby. Our classes are not about high-intensity workouts; they are about maintaining mobility and preparing the pelvic floor for delivery. We address common discomforts like sciatica, hip tightness, and acidity through modified sequences that ensure safety at every trimester.
Postnatal Recovery: Healing from Within
After delivery, your body needs time to rebuild. We wait for your doctor’s clearance before starting any core work. Our postpartum focus is on stabilizing the spine, relieving shoulder tension from nursing or holding your baby, and creating a space for you to reconnect with yourself. It is a slow, steady process—progress, not perfection.
Why Our Approach Works
- Small Groups: We keep batch sizes small so you get individual attention and correction.
- Prop-Supported: We use wall ropes, heavy bolsters, and chairs to reduce strain and provide stability.
- Medical Awareness: We review your health history, including any complications or C-section recovery timelines, to adapt every movement to your specific needs.
- Community: You will meet other mothers in the Jayanagar community, sharing the journey in a safe, judgment-free space.
