About Relief from Aches and Pains
We don't believe in pushing through the pain. In these therapeutic sessions, we use wall ropes, bolsters, and chairs to create traction and space, allowing your spine and joints to decompress safely. Before we start, we take a close look at your specific restrictions—whether it is post-surgery recovery or chronic sciatica—so the practice supports you, not the other way around.
Why Therapeutic Yoga is Different
Many of our students come to us after trying standard gym workouts that left them feeling more strained than before. At our Jayanagar studio, we approach pain management differently. We focus on 'Alignment over Athletics.'
We utilize props—not as a crutch, but as a tool to access deeper healing. When you use a wall rope for spinal traction, you aren't just 'stretching'; you are gently creating space between your vertebrae. This approach is essential for those managing chronic conditions like Spondylitis, Sciatica, or general stiffness from desk jobs.
Your Path to Relief
- Chronic Back & Neck Pain: We break down complex movements into micro-movements. If you cannot do a standard Downward Dog, we will teach you how to modify it using a chair or wall support until your body is ready for more.
- Joint Mobility: Knee and hip health rely on the surrounding muscles. We focus on gentle rotation and strengthening exercises that take the load off the joint itself.
- Post-Surgery & Recovery: We work closely with your medical history. Private 1-on-1 therapy is often the first step for those recovering from surgery, ensuring every movement is safe, controlled, and effective.
FAQ
Do I need prior yoga experience? No. In fact, many of our students join us specifically because they have never done yoga and need a safe entry point. Our small batch sizes mean we can give you the attention you need to get the basics right.
How does the prop work help with pain? Props like blocks and bolsters act as extensions of your body. They help you hold a pose for longer, which is necessary to allow the fascia and muscles to release tension. You get the benefit of the pose without the strain of forcing your body into a shape it isn't ready for yet.
