My Artistic Foundation & Creative Process

My foundation at the Sir J. J. School of Art was not just about learning to hold a brush. It was about developing a visual language. When I am at an event, the audience sees the final result, but the speed and confidence come from thousands of hours spent in the studio. Whether I am tackling a 5-foot canvas or a quick watercolor sketch, I rely on the rigor learned from academic figure drawing.

I do not believe in over-planning. My best work often happens when I embrace the environment, whether it is the history of Hampi or the energy of a Mumbai festival. I mix European antique forms with Indian motifs because that is the reality of my aesthetic. If you look at my work, you will see that I prefer direct, spontaneous painting over rigid layouts. This approach helps me translate the vibe of your event into a tangible piece of art, rather than just delivering a product.
