My Process: The Art Behind the Scenes
People usually see the final artwork, but the real story is in the process. Here is a peek into my life as a doodler—from sketching on the streets of Jaipur to live events for brands like Google and IDFC First Bank.
Each stroke tells a story. This video shows a close-up of my process, painting a conceptual piece on canvas. I love the stories my brush unveils.
At the IDFC First Bank "Celebrate Retirement" event, I created 230 personalized artworks in just two days. The crowd's energy and interaction were incredible.
Another shot from the bustling IDFC First Bank event. It was a fantastic experience filled with creativity, learning, and endless inspiration from the attendees.
Taking a moment to reflect between projects. I believe that finding ways to feel good in the space between where you are and where you want to be is everything.
The atmosphere at the IDFC First Bank event was electric. Here you can see me interacting with attendees as I create their personalized storyline artworks.
A close-up of one of the personalized artworks from the IDFC First Bank event. The process involved revealing a message with invisible ink before illustrating a story around it.
I was completely lost in the beauty of Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. I couldn't resist capturing its intricate details in my sketchbook right there on the street.
The entrance to the IDFC First Bank "40 After 40" retirement planning expo. It was an honor to be the live artist for such an important and well-organized event.
A look behind the scenes at an event. It's never too late to be grateful for what you have and optimistic about what you want to achieve.
A small reminder to myself and others. At the end of the day, the person who never gives up on you has to be you. You are your own greatest supporter.
About Behind the Scenes
When I work live at an event, I do not just draw; I listen to your stories and translate them onto paper. For instance, at a recent banking expo, I created 230 unique, personalized artworks in just two days—some even using a secret invisible ink layer that guests discovered on the spot. It is about building a connection, not just handing over a sketch.
How I Bring Art to Life
Live doodling is a performance. Whether I am at a corporate conference in a Google office or sketching at a private wedding, I am fully immersed in the event. I use high-flow markers for murals and fine-liner pens for sketchnotes, ensuring the art fits the scale—whether that is an 8x12 foot wall or a 30x40 inch canvas.
My Process
- Immersion: I do not draw from a script. I walk the venue, chat with attendees, and absorb the vibe.
- Real-time Synthesis: Whether it is sketchnoting a complex keynote or painting a live event, I capture the energy as it happens.
- The Bombay Touch: I treat every surface as a canvas. From glass partitions to car bonnets, I adapt my technique to the medium.
What You Can Expect
If you hire me for a launch or a celebration, expect a professional who shows up with a setup that draws a crowd. I bring my own gear, handle my own logistics, and I am there to interact, not just paint in a corner. My goal is to make sure that when your guests walk away, they have a tangible, meaningful memory of the day.
