Hindustani Vocal & Tabla Program (Quarterly)
Course Framework

- Method: Traditional Guru-Shishya style covering Swaras, Alankaars, Ragas, and Tala system.
Facility & Equipment
- Seating: Traditional floor arrangement (carpeted/wooden) requiring removal of footwear.
- Vocal Gear: Harmonium and Tanpura provided by the institute for in-class accompaniment.
- Tabla Gear: Practice sets available for shared usage in class.
Exams & Events
- Assessment: Training aligned with institutional grading.
- Performance: Eligibility to audition for annual stage events like 'Sarvaang' and 'Taranga'.
Spanish Guitar Course (Quarterly)
Course Framework
- Duration: 3 Months (Quarterly Cycle).
- Frequency: 2 classes per week (Tuesday and Friday).
- Session Length: 60 Minutes per session.
- Syllabus: Staff notation basics, chord progression, strumming patterns, and full song arrangement.
Requirements & Setup
- Instrument Policy: Bring Your Own Instrument (BYOI). Students must carry their own acoustic Spanish guitar.
- Seating: Wooden stools or chairs in a shared hall environment.
- Batch Size: Small to medium groups (Approx. 6 to 10 students).
Performance
- Ensemble: Focus on playing in sync with a group (medley).
- Exposure: Opportunity to perform in group ensembles at annual functions.
Short-Term Introductory Workshop
Workshop Structure
- Duration: Fixed short term (typically 2 to 3 weeks).
- Volume: 6 total sessions.
- Focus: Absolute basics including Introduction to Sur, Taal, or basic instrument handling.
Batch Logistics
- Age Segregation: Batches divided by age groups (e.g., 5 to 10 years, 10 to 16 years).
- Class Size: Larger batch sizes (15 to 20 students) compared to quarterly courses.
Administrative
- Fees: Waives the standard registration fee associated with quarterly enrollments.
- Certification: Certificate of participation provided upon completion.

At Sangeet Bharati, we see music as a way to connect with your roots and express yourself. Our classes aren’t just about learning notes - they’re about feeling the music and finding your own style.
What We Offer
- Hindustani Vocal Training: I teach the basics like swaras, alankaars, and ragas, and we dive into the expressive side too - bhaav is key. You’ll get hands-on practice with sur and taal, plus genres like Khayal, Bhajan, and Tarana. Batches are split for beginners and intermediates, starting from 5 years old.
- Tabla Classes for Kids: If you’re between 7 and 15, we’ll work on laya and taal, building concentration and rhythm with every beat. Classes are led by artists who actually perform, not just teach.
- Spanish Guitar Lessons: For anyone 8 and up, we cover chords, melodies, and songs. Whether you’re just starting or want to level up your technique, we keep it practical and fun.
Real Stage Experience
Performing on rangmanch (stage) is part of our journey, not an afterthought. Our events like Sarvaang and Taranga give students a real taste of live performance - jitters and all.

My Story
Namaste! We’re Sangeet Bharati. Life here? Full of messy hands in the garden, festival colours and giggles. Our preschool is all about play, not pressure - kids get to be curious, wild, and desi (rooted in Indian culture) from day one. And for the older lot, we’re the adda (hangout) for dance, music, and self-expression. Ghungroos, raags, stage lights - our gurus help you find your spark, whether you’re tiny or a teen.
My Work
Preschool & Early Learning - Play-based preschool for ages 2-4, with outdoor fun and a creative, hands-on approach.
Indian Classical Dance & Music - Kathak, Bharatnatyam, vocal and tabla classes with pro artists. Students perform in our annual shows.
Spanish Guitar Lessons - Beginner and intermediate group sessions for Spanish Guitar, from chords to melodies.
Workshops & Camps - Summer camps, arts & crafts, storytelling, and special Kathak workshops for kids and teens.
