About Music & Dance Academy
Our 100-Year Safar in Music & Dance
I've been part of Delhi's art scene since 1924. Saraswati Music College isn't just a place to learn - yahan pe (here), you feel the music and dance in the air. Legends like Mohammed Rafi ji and Pt. Jasraj walked these halls. We're not fancy, but the vibe is real and rooted.
Classes for Every Skill Level
I offer Indian classical music lessons, Western vocals, and workshops on riyaz (dedicated practice). Whether you're picking up a guitar or trying tabla for the first time, my faculty's got you. Keyboard, drums, violin - take your pick.
If you're more into tech, my music production courses cover DJing and sound engineering. Industry pros teach these, so it's not just textbook stuff.
Dance: From Desi to Global
My dance studios are always buzzing. Bhangra classes (with Delhi's original Bhangra fitness crew) and Kathak sessions keep the Indian roots strong. Annual Kathak baithak (traditional gathering) is a highlight. For global grooves, Bollywood dance workshops, hip hop, tango, and dancehall happen with top choreographers from India and beyond.
The Real Perks
Our in-house professional recording studio gives students real access - hum log music produce karte hain (we produce music), and you might just get a chance to record. Big names like Mohit Chauhan and Yo Yo Honey Singh have used our space.
Industry connections run deep. It's normal for A.R. Rahman sahab or Imtiaz Ali to drop by. Delhi talent auditions for TV shows and film production houses are hosted right here - your break could be closer than you think.

My Story
We started back in 1924, just wanting to spread the joy of music. Now, coming close to 100 years, it’s still the same jazba (passion). Our college isn’t only walls and rooms – it’s memories, old photographs, legends like Jagjit Singh ji and Kishore Kumar Nite ’86. We began Saraswati Samman to thank artists – Pt. Jasraj Ji, Mohd. Rafi Sahab, Rishi Kapoor Ji. From Amjad Ali Khan Sahab to A.R. Rahman sir, so many have shared their wisdom here. Our studio, Katharas, is buzzing with new hits. It’s a silsila (journey), and we’re just grateful to be part of it.
