For me, Indian classical dance is more than steps - it's about letting feelings flow, staying close to my roots, and sharing that warmth with you. I’ve seen how dance can change a person, spark creativity, and build confidence.
I teach both Kathak and Bharatnatyam. If you want to try storytelling with rhythm, Kathak dance lessons will get you learning tatkaar (footwork), chakkars (spins), and abhinaya (expressions). For those drawn to devotion and grace, Bharatnatyam for beginners covers adavus (basic steps), and the blend of bha, ra, ta (expression, melody, rhythm). I stick to the old-school style but mix it up with some fun, so it never feels boring.
Classes happen twice a week in a group, usually afternoons or evenings. I make sure each person gets noticed, whether you’re just starting or already pretty good. Kids from 5-6 years join in, and adults are always welcome. Indian dance for kids is a hit here - they pick up rhythm and balance fast.
You’ll get to perform on stage (rangmanch
) at least once a year in our shows. I believe that’s where real confidence grows. The learning is not just about technique but about finding yourself, getting stronger, and opening up.
