Traditional Festival Delicacies & Sweets
Authentic festival sweets and savouries made with pure ghee and traditional Iyengar recipes, perfect for your next pooja or celebration.
A plate of our warm, freshly made Bele Holige, also known as obbattu. This sweet flatbread is a staple during festivals like Ugadi, and we prepare it with a generous filling and a touch of ghee.
Hayagreeva is a special sweet dish made from chana dal, jaggery, and ghee, offered as naivedyam. Ours is prepared following the traditional Iyengar recipe, making it a perfect dessert for any puja or celebration.
A serving of our soft and fragrant Pineapple Kesari Bath. This sweet semolina dish is enriched with ghee, sugar, and pieces of fresh pineapple, then garnished with nuts for a delightful taste.
Our Sakkare Pongal served on a traditional banana leaf. This sweet dish is a symbol of harvest and happiness, and we cook it slowly to achieve the perfect creamy consistency and rich flavour.
A close-up of our Hayagreeva Maddi, garnished with cashew nuts. The rich, dark colour comes from the traditional preparation with pure jaggery, giving it a unique and authentic taste.
Our Kesari Bath, a simple yet delicious sweet made from rava (semolina). It is a popular breakfast item and also a quick dessert for any occasion, always served fresh and warm.
Wishing everyone a Happy Ugadi from our family to yours. May the new year bring a mix of sweet and happy moments, just like the traditional 'Bevu Bella' platter.
About Festival Delicacies
We do not believe in mass production, so we prepare every single order from scratch only after you book. When you choose our festival delicacies, you receive sweets made that same day using pure Nandini ghee and traditional recipes, ensuring they reach you fresh and authentic.
For us, festival food is about memories and tradition. My father, Ranganath Iyengar, established RVR Foods in 1986 with a promise: we treat every dish like an offering. Whether it is the thin, perfect crust of our Bele Holige or the deep, aromatic richness of Hayagreeva Maddi, we focus on the slow, careful preparation that mass-produced sweets often miss. We avoid palm oil, Vanaspati, or shortcut ingredients entirely. Everything is prepared in our kitchen in Rajarajeshwari Nagar using pure, farm-sourced ingredients. We also follow strict sattvic guidelines, meaning our kitchen is completely onion and garlic-free. This commitment helps us cater to families and communities across Bengaluru who want the exact taste of home-cooked festival food. If you are planning a housewarming, Ganesha Chaturthi, or a simple family puja, we ensure the sweets and savouries align with your requirements, delivering that specific, nostalgic flavour that brings people together.
